Asset Languages principles
Asset Languages assesses the listening, speaking, reading and writing skills of learners against the Languages Ladder.
Asset measures the skills of each learner against the first four stages of the Ladder: Breakthrough, Preliminary, Intermediate, and Advanced.- Asset Languages qualifications are also mapped to the National Qualifications Framework, view the structure page to find out more information.
- Asset is based on the 'Can Do' statements of the Languages Ladder.
- Asset offers the chance to reward achievement in KS2, KS3, KS4 and KS5, through to higher and adult education.
- Each Asset Languages qualification, equivalent to Levels 1, 2 and 3, attracts Achievement and Attainment Table points and threshold contributions. Level 3 Asset qualifications are on the UCAS tariff.
