Since the Asset scheme was first launched in 2005, over 400,000 Asset Languages qualifications have been awarded to language learners. The majority of those learners are in secondary schools, demonstrating that teachers like you value this unique language assessment tool.

Understanding the worlds most important words: 'I can'Whether it's nationally-recognised qualifications, or a more informal type of assessment you are after, Asset is designed to support your teaching in Key Stage 3 (KS3), Key Stage 4 (KS4) or Key Stage 5 (KS5).

With numbers studying languages in KS4 in decline, Asset can motivate linguists through KS3. Many schools enter whole year groups for Asset tests, particularly towards the end of Year 9. With Asset, learners have something to show for their efforts when the compulsory period of language study comes to an end.

Teachers are using Asset to reward the achievement of language learners during Year 9, in some cases inspiring them to carry on with the subject into the next key stage.

Even for those language departments with relatively high rates of uptake in KS4 or for specialist language colleges, alternative forms of assessment are becoming popular for particular cohorts. Some schools who are using Asset in this way are also achieving greater success in their KS4 results.
