Asset Languages Training 2010/11
OCR offers a choice of two training events in 2010/11 to support your use of Asset Languages: Get started and Get ahead
Get started: guidance for first delivery is a training session recommended for all teachers preparing to use Asset Languages for the first time.
This full day course outlines the philosophy behind the assessment scheme and the two methods of assessment with Asset; external and teacher assessment. Delegates will receive guidance on preparing candidates for Asset's externally-assessed exams and information on what support and resources are available from OCR. The training also explains all administration procedures. If you previously attended Centre Coordinator Training, you will find that the content of this course is very similar.
Get ahead: effective delivery of preliminary stage assessment is a new training session designed for teachers looking to improve their use of Asset Languages at this key level, especially for secondary schools.
Provided in response to demand, this full day course focuses on building the confidence of teachers who are keen to introduce Preliminary level assessments, or are interested in ways of improving their current use of Preliminary. The course will review the key issues for successful assessment, discuss innovative teaching and resources, as well as provide opportunities to share good practice.
