Centre Administration and Support
Your first point of contact with OCR is through our Customer Contact Centre on 01223 553998 or assetlanguages@ocr.org.uk.
The Contact Centre staff can answer questions about Asset Languages and despatch information on the scheme. They will also route more complex queries through to the correct department.
You can also try the FAQ section of this website. And if your question isn't answered, you can use our feedback form to ask us directly.
A Support Guide for Introducing Asset Languages. This document replaces the Stage Guides and Teachers Handbooks and covers the first four stages of the Languages Ladder.
A new 4 page document which covers all of the Asset Languages basics. This handy guide will be sent out with registration confirmation but you can also download it here.
PowerPoint presentations which can be used in meetings or INSET to explain the basics about Asset Languages Assessment to staff and to students.
We have produced a template to help with proposals to your Senior Management Team for adopting the Asset Scheme. The document sets out the benefits of Asset assessment for learners and to the centre and should be adapted to address the particular requirements of your school or college.
This report is designed to inform centres of issues that arose in relation to the external assessment tests in 2006/07 and incorporates feedback from centres, examiners and moderators.
We hope to produce a range of support sheets which provide examples of Asset Languages in use. The first in the series is about fitting Teacher Assessment Speaking tests into lesson time.
Electronic versions of the progress sheet template found in the Teacher Assessment Pack - so you know when learners have achieved their Grade Award Certificate.
A key feature of teacher assessment is that teachers are allowed to adapt tasks to suit their schemes of work. To make this easier, some task templates are now available electronically. We are starting with Breakthrough and Preliminary tasks for listening and reading, with other stages and skills to follow.
The Breakthrough files have been zipped for ease of download. To open the word documents inside, please download to your computer and double click on the zip folder.
See our case studies section for details of how our centres are getting on with the scheme. A summary of latest case studies gave been provided for you to download;
