Asset Languages Structure
The table below indicates how the Languages Ladder compares with other qualification frameworks although there is not a precise equivalence with them. However, the relationship with the National Curriculum levels, the National Qualifications Framework and other frameworks can provide a useful point of reference.

The Asset Languages scheme is based on the Can Do statements of the Languages Ladder. These describe what learners can do with language at a certain level in terms of actual outcomes; 'I can talk about my plans for the future' and they can be related to real world activities; 'I can write a simple text seeking information'
Asset Languages externally assessed qualifications do attract achievement and attainment table points. The points are per skill, by grade. It is possible to combine points from different languages and different skills.
